Student Council Presents Tornado Relief Check To Red Cross
The Student Council at Ninety-One School held a coin drive to raise money for the victims of the devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma. Initially, the coin drive was to be for cancer research to honor a beloved former preschool teacher, Marilee Anglin, who recently passed away. When the storms hit Oklahoma in May, the students decided to redirect their funds to the Red Cross in Mrs. Anglin's name. Their goal was to raise $400 in three days. The enthusiasm spread, and at the end of three days they had raised $1,500! During a school assembly, the students presented the check to the Red Cross.
